Boys Volleyball’s Mario Themed Senior Night
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Norte Vista varsity boys volleyball team faced off against Jurupa Valley in a competitive match that ended in a 1–3 loss. Despite the final score, the Braves showed determination and moments of strong teamwork throughout the game. The energy in the gym was especially high as it was Senior Night, with friends, family, and classmates coming out to support the team and celebrate the seniors’ final home appearance.
Norte Vista came out with intensity, battling through long rallies and keeping sets close, but Jurupa Valley ultimately maintained control and capitalized on key points.
Senior Matthew reflected on the match, saying, “We gave it everything we had tonight. Even though the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, I’m proud of how we stayed together and kept pushing.”
After the match, the focus shifted from competition to celebration as the seniors were honored for their dedication to the program. Each senior received a gift basket, marking the end of their high school volleyball journey and recognizing their contributions to the team. While the loss was tough, the night was a meaningful sendoff filled with appreciation, reflection, and pride for everything the seniors have accomplished at Norte Vista.
Senior Gustavo Rodriguez added, “This game meant a lot to us. It wasn’t just about winning, it was more about playing for each other one last time on this court.”
