HAMLET: IN 60 MINUTES
On November 14, the Drama club presented a play of Hamlet by William Shakespeare, which tells the story of a prince seeking revenge for his father’s death. Jesse Allah shared his first thoughts about the play’s most notable moments.
“Well, I wasn’t expecting all of that. I didn’t expect the sword fight or Hamlet, but it was amazing,” said Jesse Allah.
Sophomore Noah Gonzalez, who is part of the drama crew, mentioned the play being very demanding but rewarding, especially the love affair between Hamlet and Ophelia, their breakup, and the final fight.
“One of my favorite parts of the play was lighting up the fighting at the end, because I think all the dynamic movement is really entertaining. Also, I liked spotlighting the scene where the Hamlet breaks up with his girlfriend. I like filming that because where I am, it’s hard, and I like a challenge when I’m spotlighting,” said Noah Gonzalez.
