Inside The Game: Weekly Recap
It’s only the second week into the season, and sports events on and outside of the campus are already taking place at a rapid speed. So, to cover a few of the numerous events that have taken place, here is a breakdown of all the previous athletic events you may have missed last week.
To start off, on August 18th, Varsity Boys Water Polo and Varsity Girls Tennis debuted their season with wins against Arroyo Valley, with Varsity Girls Tennis winning with a score of 12-6, and Varsity Boys Water Polo winning with 18-5. Varsity Flag Football, however, began their week with a loss on August 18th against Vista Del Lago, the score 7-12. But, they did end up getting a win on the very next day against the Arroyo Valley, winning 1-0.
Along with that, Varsity Girls Volleyball had their game against Arroyo Valley on the 19th with a loss of 1-3, but brought home a win on August 21 against Moreno Valley with a score of 3-2.
Nearing the end of that week, Varsity Girls Tennis had their second game on the 20th of August come to a draw; 9-9. Varsity Boys Water Polo later came back on August 21st after losing against Hillcrest with scores 14-17. Varsity Football also came into the scene on the 22nd of August and secured a win against Silverado, 20-16.
Finally, to close off the week, on August 23rd, Varsity Volleyball won three games in a row, with their first game against Ramona being 2-0. Then, they brought home their second win against CSDR with a 2-1. And, to end it all, they had won with a score of 2-1 against Rancho Verde.
